About My Clients

Many women who've survived trauma (physical, sexual or emotional) experience fear, anxiety, difficulty feeling safe in their bodies and trusting themselves. Pregnancy can bring these issues to the forefront in a big way, especially if your birth did not go as planned. I provide a safe space in my counseling office where you can feel free to talk through what you're feeling and experiencing, without judgment.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and Perinatal Mental Health Certified. I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of North Carolina Asheville and my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Carolina University. My counseling career started out with acute substance addictions. Now, I mostly work with loved ones affected by addiction, women healing trauma to the womb, and pregnant/postpartum mothers.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I love supporting social justice warriors to prevent burn out. I also love helping animal care workers cope with compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. I am a feminist and wanting the world to find a healthy balance of masculinity and femininity. I live a vegan lifestyle, it's a very personal choice for me. This offers me insight into the struggles specific to clients choosing to live vegan.
