Cognitive behavioral therapy is the foundation to doing good therapy with adolescents and adults. CBT provides coping skills and a framework with which we can work from to tackle any concerns you bring into the room. *Note: I do not use CBT with children, only with adolescents and adults.
Expressive arts therapy encompasses a wide range of treatment options, from painting to sculpting to using sand tray therapy in order to express and process the variety of life's concerns. With training from leading experts in the field such as Marshall Lyles, and experience at Art It Out therapy center, I'm confident that you and I can work together toward healing.
I've received specialized training in child-centered play therapy from experts in the field including Dr. Dee Ray and Dr. Mary Bennett. I've worked with children ages five and up using both play and expressive arts therapy to help your child communicate, learn responsibility, and gain self-esteem.
Child or adult, young or old, we all grapple with anxiety at some point in our lives. If you're worried about everything you can think of or it feels like you've forgotten completely how to relax, it might be time to seek help. Cognitive behavioral therapy, talk therapy, and sand tray therapy are all extremely beneficial in helping to reduce anxiety.
Sexual problems, including pain disorders and issues of attraction, don't have to ruin your life. I have specialized training in sex therapy, whether you are partnered or single. If you desire, we can incorporate Christian faith into treatment, as I have been trained by experts in the field including Dr. Mark Yarhouse and Dr. Doug Rosenau.
Child-centered play therapy is a unique treatment, particularly for children ages 3-10. Play is the language of children, and using play therapy, we can address a myriad of issues your child might be facing.
