About My Clients
At Creative Growth Counseling, LLC you'll find compassionate Tele-health therapy services utilizing a blend of traditional talk therapy, creative techniques, and humor. I enjoy working with variety of issues including childhood trauma, relational trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and many other unique and personal challenges. I am passionate about meeting my clients where they are in their lives by encouraging existing strengths to heal wounds.
My Background and Approach
The therapeutic journey is an intimate and unique process that requires a balance of grace and humor. As your therapist, I will help you access your own strengths to overcome life's hurdles through the use of humor, compassion, and relationship. I believe in the importance of meeting my clients where they are and being fluid and adaptive in our treatment. I use a combination of talk therapy, EMDR and EMDR readiness skills, as well as other trauma informed modalities to help aid in the healing process.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am committed to supporting the Black Lives Matter movement as well as doing my own anti-racist work. I am a firm believer in Women's rights, the right to quality health care, and the right to chose when you are faced with life's complicated decisions. I believe that all love should be seen equally and that no one should be treated less than due to race, religion or lack of, sexual orientation, gender identity, or sexual identity. I am a safe place regardless of your immigration status and no human is "illegal." At the core of my heart I am a social worker and believe that we must advocate and stand up for the oppressed and be the change we wish to see. When I am not working, I enjoy being in the Colorado sunshine spending time with my family, gardening, and taking care of my "plant babies." I also enjoy a good mystery novel or podcast, and love to rollerblade!
