My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual counselor, and I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Business from UTD. I went on to continue my training in Psychology by earning an M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from UNT. I am currently a licensed counselor, a licensed marriage and family counselor associate, and a Nationally Certified Counselor. My clinical training has been diverse and includes conducting group and individual psychotherapy, marriage and family counseling, weight loss therapy, and working at an outpatient addictions clinic with an underserved population.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a collaborative approach to therapy, in which she works together with her clients to help them reach their individual goals. I am committed to helping others recognize their strengths and using those to build a life worth living. I have a passion for assisting people in identifying how certain emotions, thoughts, and behaviors may be impacting their life. As an individual with a very diverse upbringing myself, I respect the unique cultures, experiences, and preferences of my clients and personalize treatment to fit their individual needs.
