- Medication Management
This form of therapy integrates medical knowledge and meditative practices in efforts of increasing your awareness of why your mind and body act in certain ways. Tools such as breathing and meditating are learned to allow you to center yourself in the present. Information and techniques are sourced from research that shows desirable effects in areas such as: - Anxiety - Insomnia - ADD/ADHD - Mood - Stress - Increased perception - Positivity
I've been trained in my masters program and training site on how to use this approach effectively. Often times, individuals come into therapy to talk about whats going on, make sense out of it, gain support and alternative perspectives, and find a solution from within that solves their problem. Why talk to a therapist versus a friend about your problems? With this approach, the therapist listens to you with confidentiality, unconditional support, and guidance in you finding your own solution.
