My Background and Approach

I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) who has a medical (University of Colorado School of Medicine) and science (University of Colorado at Denver) background that led me into the psychology field. My Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology was earned in 2012 from the University of Denver. I have previously worked at with at-risk youth and with diverse populations in private practice representative of all socioeconomic situations. Specific therapeutic strategies/modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Solution Focused-Brief Therapy; and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a minority, I am very passionate about underrepresented communities. I have been developing personal and therapeutic relationships with the LGBTQ community for my entire career. As a group, my practice is dedicated to providing care to a multiculturally diverse population as well as the LGBTQ community. We strive toward maintaining fresh techniques and ideas and our goal is to make therapy accessible to everyone, therefore, offer many financially sound options.
