About My Clients
My clients seek to better understand themselves, and I believe you're the expert of your own life, and I trust the intentions behind your choices—even the ones you may be struggling with. In our early sessions, we’ll begin identifying patterns that may be holding you back, helping you build greater awareness and more freedom in your daily life.
My Background and Approach
My personal approach to therapy is to create a warm, comfortable space for session where we understand that to be heard is to heal and that emotions are simply energy and we all have the capacity to change our energy. I have a deep appreciation for native world views and Eastern spirituality, which will often find their way into my therapeutic practice.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I graduated from the University of Houston with a Master's in Counseling in 2012 and have provided counseling in health systems, K-12 schools, colleges, individual therapy and crisis centers since then. I am also certified to teach yoga and facilitate the art of breathwork and meditation. I was raised between the United States and Mexico and am fluent in written/spoken Spanish. I identify as a cisgender, straight Latina woman and a person of color with a soul for social justice and decolonizing mental health. I have a deep appreciation for native world views and Eastern spirituality, which will often find their way into my therapeutic practice. When not in session, I enjoy being with my family, friends and pets, volunteering in the service of mental health and environmentalism, practicing and teaching yoga, laughing with TikTok, and writing little stories of challenge, hope and triumph.
