About My Clients
I work a variety of clients, including those who identify as LGBTQ+. I work with Children three and older, Adolescents, and Adults. For me, the most important part of counseling is the therapeutic relationship. I work hard to create a safe space for my clients to feel heard, accepted, and valued.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is personal; utilizing an "eclectic" approach, and we will explore your needs accordingly. I base my therapy in a humanistic groundwork, meaning I believe as human beings we are all striving towards growth and we deserve nothing less than unconditional love and acceptance. I also ground my approach in Gestalt therapy as well as offer Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tools and skills and feminist-based counseling strategies.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Transgender woman myself, I believe that we, in the LGBTQ+ community, deserve to have safe spaces. We deserve to have a community and people who understand what it is like to struggle with Gender Dysphoria, with sexuality, and with acceptance everyday and to live in a world where we need to fight for our own rights. I believe everyone is deserving of a happy and fulfilling life; and we all deserve to live as our full authentic selves.
