About My Clients
I have experience working with young to older adults facing depression, anxiety, chronic or terminal illness, grief and loss, addiction, relationship issues, and life transitions. Every client has their own story and unique needs. I take a non-judgmental and strengths-based therapeutic approach using a variety of treatment modalities to help clients take steps towards their preferred life at their own pace, and always focusing on what is most important to them.
My Background and Approach
I have training in a number of therapeutic modalities and utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and stress management to help clients discover or rediscover what they care most about, and progress towards their goals. In addition to attending New York University and Simmons University, I've gained valuable training and experience in mental health over the years at renowned facilities including Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and presently with Mass General Brigham. I am a bilingual/bicultural therapist and provide therapy in English and Spanish. I've gained extensive cultural understanding through my work with many different communities in the Greater Boston area.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Choosing to begin therapy and addressing difficult emotions, behaviors, and thinking patterns is an act of courage and bravery. I consider it an honor for individuals, like yourself, to allow me to partner with you on this journey.
