Anxiety is the most common mental health problem affecting us in the United States but less than 40% of those suffering seek treatment. Just because you have anxiety now does not mean that it has to be an everyday problem for the rest of your life. Let's figure out together what works for you and experiment with ways to reduce it.
My life's calling was found through becoming a Registered Play Therapist through the National Association of Play Therapy. Developmentally Play therapy is the most effective and beneficial modality to connect and heal for children. Child issues I have experienced in my work range from anxieties such as separation anxiety and school stressors to adoption and grief and loss. Caregivers are included in therapy intermittently as no one knows the child you care for better than you.
Just because grief and loss are a part of being human in this world does not mean that it is easy or should be dismissed. Finding meaning and understanding what the loss means for our own identity and the changed relationships that have been effected are part of the healing process. Everyone has their own needs when it comes to grief and I would love to walk that path with you.
