Sleep is essential, and life can quickly go downhill when you're not getting it. Insomnia can be caused by many different things, and the solution to getting back to sleep and being able to rejuvenate yourself is unique to each person. My first experience with my own therapy came from an experience with insomnia that I had in college. It cracked me open, and led me to discover more of myself. When something in your unconscious has "woken up", support for integrating it is essential.
More and more of us are realizing how sensitive we are. Some part of the zeitgeist has woken us up to how much we impact each other. When sensitivities arise in a person, it can be confusing and disorienting. Learning how to hone these perceptive abilities and turn them into a gift that you can use in the world can be completely transformational. It's tricky to be a human being on earth! Boundaries, self-care and tuning in to your capabilities allow you to be fully yourself on a daily basis.
Spirituality shows up differently for each of us. Whether through traditional religious forms, spiritual-but-not -religious, or through artistic expression, a person's spirituality can be a defining feature of the personality, or a supplemental resource for all the other elements of a person. How you honor your spirituality makes all the difference. I'm on my own journey with the spiritual experience of being a person, and am greatly honored to help others along their path.
I love being an eclectic therapist. It means that I get to borrow any technique, perspective or information from any form of therapy, or any area of life that can be useful to psychological well-being. I know a little bit about a lot of traditional therapeutic modalities, and use my own discernment to figure out which approach best suits the person in front of me. As a life-long learner, I remain ever-curious about human knowledge and how to apply it for the overall health of my clients.
