About My Clients

Do you battle with a chronic condition(s)? Do you have children who have behavioral challenges? How about being a young adult and not knowing what to do during and after college? Look no further! I’m here to help support and guide you through these challenging times. I’m a part of the Type I diabetic community which has brought experience in helping others with chronic conditions. Additionally, my years of play therapy experience has prepared me. Allow me to help you through this together.

My Background and Approach

The tools and skills that I provide my clients with are those that have been proven most effective for wide ranges of clients throughout the course of my career. I am not a therapist who goes “by the book.” I am always willing to get creative. If something isn’t working for you, we will switch things up together to help benefit you, your loved one, and/or your child. My goal is for you to create your own tool kit of skills to have with you to practice for the concern that brought you to therapy, whether that be anxiety, stress, relationship issues, self esteem issues, behavioral concerns, etc... My commitment to you is to collaborate and work together with you rather than tell you what is right for you. I am a direct therapist when needed though and hold my clients accountable in helpful ways. I create and attend trainings each year to enhance my skill set in my specialty areas and always look to grow and learn. I look forward to helping you in therapy!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I strongly believe that each of us have had identifying events that have helped shape us into the people we are today. For better, for worse, we are the people we become based upon the culmination of our experiences. Also, family members also help point us in certain directions. My Uncle was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia in the 1950s. Back then, not much was known about this mental illness. His stories began to interest me in the field as a child. When I was 12, I became an Aunt! My siblings are much older than me honestly. After my nephew was born, my sister had a huge break. We found out she was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder II. These experiences led me to want to know more about psychology and how the human mind works. I also strongly support the LGBTQ+ community and the BLM movement. I collaborate on professional social media to bring awareness. I do the same for the online diabetic community. The Houston Astros are still the best team. No discrimination against others!

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Judaism
  • Interfaith
  • Multifaith
