About My Clients

*I not taking new clients at this time. I am still available to write letters for gender affirming surgeries. I work with individuals from 15-36 on learning how to be their true self in a world where that can be really hard. I also work with trans identified clients of any age and families who might be struggling to accept their LGBTQIA+ child. Most people come to me with a lot of anxiety or depression they experience due to negative self talk and pressures from the their loved ones and lives.

My Background and Approach

I am licensed to work with people in the states of Michigan and New York. In our work together, I love to bring humor and silliness. Life is just too serious some times! But I also know that at times our work together is going to be really emotional and vulnerable. It is my goal to always meet you with respect and let you lead our work, because at the end of the day this is your work. It's all about you! Because most of your growth happens out of session, I do like to give you little things to work on in between session; like worksheets, trying out new coping skills or practicing new boundaries with people. If you are someone who is really into music or art, I like to brings these into our session or encourage certain exploration in between sessions. If you want to know more about the treatment models I use, please look at the treatment orientations section of my profile.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I truly feel honored that I get to partner with people to help them find their strengths in creating a more authentic life. I do not take it lightly when people trust me enough to open up and share about their life with me. Because of this, I work very hard to challenge the internalized ‘isms that I have learned being raised in our society. I truly believe that in order to be a decent human and an ethical therapist that it is my job to look inwards to see how I have been complacent throughout my life in racism, transphobia, homophobia, sexism, genderism, ableism, ageism, fatphobia etc., while at the same time working hard to unlearn these harmful behaviors.
