I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with my Masters degree in Counseling Psychology (2015). I also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University (2011). My therapeutic interests include working with Trauma, Anxiety, Sexually related concerns, the LGBTQ community, Latinx, and BIPOC folx.
I am also the founder of PsychoSocial, a multimedia platform created to help provide mental health education. Currently, I am working on becoming a certified sex therapist and EMDR provider. Through my training, my hope is to use sex therapy to create space for individuals to explore their fantasies, sexual trauma, sexuality/identity, and provide space to heal through sexual empowerment.
I believe that we are all human first. I believe that our experiences shape us, but do not define us. Overall, my belief is that therapy is one avenue for healing, however, it relies on the already internal strengths we possess. I also believe that we all have the capacity to manifest the life we want. My mantra is human first, then a therapist. This means that I believe my life experiences, compassion, and love for others come to the forefront before my clinical skills/knowledge. With that said, I am also an activist who believes that Black lives matter, LGBTQ+ rights matter, and that white supremacy has no place in our future world.
