About My Clients
When working with clients, I value compassion and rapport-building while providing a laid back, at ease, session. I offer clinical services to individuals ages 18 and up to aid in overcoming anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, self-esteem, life transitions, codependency, stress and personal growth. I will utilize motivational interviewing, EMDR, CBT, strengths-based perspective, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), art, music, and holistic techniques to create a calm space.
My Background and Approach
I am motivated to provide an empathetic and trusting relationship with all clients. In 2012, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in social work from The Ohio State University. I have engaged in a variety of community based work via case management, PHP/IOP groups, diagnostic assessments, and crisis assessments with dual diagnosed clients of all ages. In 2017, I graduated with my master’s in art therapy and counseling from Ursuline College. I concurrently provide group counseling and art therapy groups to adults with severe mental illness and addiction at Lutheran Hospital as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe there is not a "normal" human out there. We are all experiencing life differently and I believe everyone can truly be guided to a more content way of life with time, empathy and hard work. I am a liberal, honor the black lives matter movement and am an ally of the LGBTQ community.
