I used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify the origin of the anxiety and how it plays a role in your present life. CBT helps you to identify the unhelpful thinking patterns that increases your anxiety, the automatic negative thoughts that results into negative feelings and behaviors. We can work on desensitizing yourself in order to reduce the anxiety and its intensity and frequency.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, problem solving skills, and Prolonged Exposure therapy in order to help individuals deal with their trauma. It is a matter of finding adaptive ways to cope with the triggers and increase self awareness in order to manage on the daily basis, identify how the past affects your present. It cannot be ignored nor avoided.
