About My Clients
Maybe you're here because you're tired of the same old messages that you're not enough, that you should be pursuing change in your body, that your efforts have not been sufficient. Maybe you're here seeking comfort, peace, affirmation, and validation for what you've been through, and encouragement for where you've yet to go. If you are here to pursue healing empowerment, peace with your body and with food, or joyful pleasure even in challenging or unjust circumstances, you're in the right place.
My Background and Approach
I am a clinical social worker trained to see our emotional experience within the greater context of our surroundings--familial, intergenerational, interpersonal, systemic. I utilize Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating principles in the treatment of disordered eating and body dysmorphia. I use genuine connection, compassion, and fun as healing tools to ensure my clients feel safe and engaged during our time together. I commend you on your journey to pursue therapy. As a therapist as well as a longtime client, I know it can be intimidating to start, and difficult to find the right fit! My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I come from a union family and am extremely proud of my South End roots in Louisville, where I currently reside. Class solidarity, racial solidarity, and justice are all motivating principles in my personal and professional life. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community as a bisexual woman and love opportunities to foster gender euphoria and sex positivity. I'm passionate about making mental health and trauma healing accessible to individuals of all backgrounds. I am also an avid international traveler and revel any opportunity to meet other working class people around the world!
