I am a Licensed Master Social Worker whose specialties include working with survivors of trauma, including, child abuse and neglect, sexual violence, and intimate partner violence. I also work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, family and relationship conflict, parenting, low self-esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, identity, and social challenges.
My Background and Approach
All of us develop ways to handle the stress and challenges that life throws at us. Sometimes those techniques are unhealthy and counter-productive to our growth and fulfillment. I aim to build an alliance with my clients where we can work together to explore presenting issues, underlying root causes, and harmful patterns so that you can build upon existing skills and develop new tools that support a better quality of life. I strive to develop a relationship where you can explore challenges, emotions, and struggles in a safe and supportive environment.
My philosophy as a therapist is to work collaboratively to find an approach that works best for you by combining aspects of several different modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, play therapy, and mindfulness into a client-centered and trauma-informed approach. My mission is to meet you where you are and walk with you to the future that you want to reach.
