I provide support, transparency, and confrontation mixed with curiosity. I focus on being authentic to give you permission to do the same. I respect that you are the expert in living your life. My main goal is to empower and support you in your work.
My Background and Approach
After 20 years in special education, I went back to school for a masters in counseling. I have worked with coming-of-age topics, anxiety and depression, issues from growing up with parents with mental illness, shame, relationships, intimacy, LGBTQ concerns, and change/transition in general. My approach is humanistic, person-centered, developmental, and trauma-informed, with training in Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and Brainspotting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am here to offer you a grounded, secure presence for the work you have come to do. I believe therapy is a chance to pause in the rush of life to explore what we think and feel from a still and quiet place. It can be an empowering tool for feeding personal growth, challenging barriers, and reigniting dreams. I believe we are all capable of change, that change can be hard, and that change is easier with help.
