About My Clients
I specialize in the treatment of depressive & anxiety disorders, and I enjoy working with helping professionals who are facing compassion fatigue or burnout. I believe deeply in the human-animal bond, and I am honored to hold space for anyone who is struggling with the loss of a beloved pet.
My Background and Approach
I grew up in North Carolina and received my Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before relocating to Tennessee in 2020. I utilize a person-centered approach in my therapy practice. My most commonly used therapeutic interventions are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, & Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). However, I tailor my interventions to the needs and preferences of each individual client.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My practice is rooted in the conviction that every living being, both human and animal, is worthy of compassion. I have a huge heart for rescued animals, especially mixed breed dogs and pit bull-type dogs. I am an intersectional feminist. I believe that abortion is a human right, Black lives matter, and we live on stolen land. I am fat-positive and believe that all bodies are good bodies.
