Hi! I’m Kylee and I’m passionate about helping women during pregnancy & postpartum and helping highly sensitive mamas thrive in motherhood.
Counselor in Tulsa, OK
I hold deep empathy, respect and unconditional positive regard for my clients. This means you are accepted as you are in my therapy room (or zoom room). I believe through this safe, nonjudgemental space you will finally have the space you need to explore your thoughts, feelings and situations without judgement and begin to love and accept yourself as you are.
Acceptance and commitment therapy is all about us working together to help you create a meaningful life. This is a skills based, hands on therapy practice where I will teach you ways to identify and live life by your values, help you learn ways to separate some from those hard thoughts and feelings so you can make decisions based on what you want out of life instead of out of anxiety and fear. We focus on mindfulness, values and strategies to help you create the life you want.
Using CBT in therapy allows me to help clients feel empowered and in control of their lives and mental health by learning skills and techniques to become in control of their thoughts and behaviors. We don’t realize how many of our thoughts and behaviors run on autopilot and affect our we feel without us even having a say. I can teach you how to take control of your thoughts and beliefs and make changes when needed so you can feel better.
I am certified in Circle of Security Parenting and Trust Based Relational Intervention. I can help you learn ways to connect with your child, to get your child to follow directions without power struggles and to see where your past experiences may be impacting your parenting and how to make changes so you’re present and intentional with your parenting choices.
As a highly sensitive person myself, I understand how an overstimulating lifestyle can lead to symptoms that mimic anxiety and depression. I can help you navigate your life and make changes so you can let your light shine and reduce overwhelm in your life. Sometimes small, sustainable changes can have a huge impact.
I have completed training with Postpartum Support International to treat perinatal mood disorders. My treatment style is strengths focused, relationship centered and action based. This means we will first focus on helping you feel safe and understood in therapy, finding ways to engage your support system to support you in ways that actually feel helpful and focusing on specific things you can do with your thoughts and behaviors to feel better.
