Connection is being replaced by resentment, defensiveness, and avoidance. You're working really hard to improve your relationship. Any attempt to make things better just seems to make things worse. It feels like groundhog day with the same conversations and struggles happening over and over again. Exhaustion, frustration, and worry for the future settle in. In our work together we will slow down, assure both partners are understood, learn skills, and experience healing, and lasting change.

I have received training in best practice approaches for assessing and treating anxiety, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, and systems theory. I have over 4 years of experience working directly with individuals struggling with anxiety and understand how to help identify the root cause and help you build skills to work through your anxiety.

My work focuses on building impactful relationships. Family Systems theory is a lens through which I view treatment. I have taught university graduate-level courses centered on the application of family systems theory. I received specialized training as a marriage and family therapist, received additional training in postgraduate school, presented at national conferences on family systems dynamics, and have over a decade of experience working with families in clinical settings.

EMDR is a revolutionary modality, as a therapist, I have received training in EMDR completing 40 hours of training from the EMDR Institue and numerous hours of supervision. Apart from the EMDR Institue training, I have attended additional clinical training on EMDR.

CBT is a recognized best practice modality. Apart from my training as a marriage and family therapist, I have received training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy with families, and additional training in applying CBT with young adults.
