The foundation for all of my work with clients is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, anti-racist care. From there, I use one of three approaches, depending on what you need.
The first is supportive therapy for trans/GNC individuals and loved ones who are looking for a therapist to walk with them while they explore their identity, coming out, or transitioning.
For clients ready for in-depth insight-oriented work, I utilize (Brief) Psychodynamic/Attachment-Focused Psychotherapy. This rich and unstructured approach lets you explore any areas that are important for your growth, especially utilizing the therapeutic relationship we develop to guide and heal.
The third approach I use is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) - informed treatment. DBT is an evidence-based therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder, self-harming, impulsive, or suicidal clients.
