What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in California
I have extensive training on trauma theory and the impact of trauma on our physical, neurological, energetic, and relational systems. I am a certified Trauma Informed Systems Specialist focused on creating healing-centered approaches for individuals, communities, and macro-level organizations.
Established in my Masters training in CBT, and further enhanced by trainings in Search Inside Yourself Trainings, trauma theory trainings, and more, mindfulness is integrated throughout my treatment. Increasing mindfulness increasing capacity to navigate stressful, oppressive, or new situations with increased self-compassion.
I was raised by an outdoor elementary educator, and I always planned to provide therapeutic services in outdoor settings. As my education and specialization in EcoTherapy has emerged it is rooted in Deep Ecology, Systems Theory, and Faith. While I don't always provide in-person outdoor services, my approach will create a deepened relationship with your ecological system with a focus on your relationship and development within the natural world.
I have supported adolescents and young adults 13-25 in navigating the overwhelming tasks they have been presented during these transitional ages. Through identity development to relationships with family, friends, community, and extras, this is hands down my favorite age range to support in better knowing themselves in order to show up as they intend too in all spaces.
As a Certified Trauma Informed Systems Specialist, I am dedicated to bringing the healing to the healers and caregivers. If you find yourself delivering services, parenting, caregiving for aging or changing family members, you have likely experienced burnout, fatigue, brain fog, exhaustion, imposter syndrome and more. I will support you in deepening your awareness of stress on your unique self and system and will can create a personal wellness plan as needed.
In my work with youth and families, I have developed a strongly held belief that life is a long series of transformations that we intersect and experience to create the person we are today. A life transition presents us with a beautiful opportunity to re-position ourselves mindfully. Although you may have a sense of "unraveling" this is the idea time to pause, reflect, and reconnect to those parts of your life that you hold most dear.
