About My Clients
I am thankful to be able to utilize my passion for helping others through my job as a mental health therapist at Mindset Counseling Group. I have experience working with adults, children, and families struggling with crisis, anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, trauma, self-esteem and identity issues while helping them achieve their wellness goals. I’m comfortable working with individuals from different ethnicities, nationalities, races, spiritualities, sexual orientations, and gender.
My Background and Approach
Being a minority, woman of color and of East Asian descent, I understand the societal pressure, expectations, cultural consideration and stigma around mental health. I’m here to listen to your story as we build a therapeutic relationship of trust, respect, and rapport in order to develop a customized treatment plan that helps you overcome your obstacles. My therapeutic style is client-centered, with specialties in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, while taking a personal approach to meet each client's individual needs. I'm here to listen to your story as we build a therapeutic relationship of trust, respect, and rapport.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Many things are happening in our world that can make us feel anxious, stressed, depressed and seeking therapy can be an uncomfortable and an unsettling decision. However, therapy can be a space for personal growth, healing and self-empowerment. I prefer to empower my clients to gain greater confidence, and practice self-compassion. I provide an empathetic, supportive and nonjudgmental space in order to help clients become the best version of themselves.
