About My Clients

Many of my clients fear that they don't belong in a world that undervalues sensitivity, introversion and neurodiversity. I've felt this kind of fear and know how destructive it can be. The truth is that the world needs us, especially our differences. I'll help you discover your special strengths and turn them into superpowers. I'll also teach you how to find compassion for yourself, which can help you heal when you're hurting and express who you are with confidence.

My Background and Approach

For adults, I offer customized talk therapy that focuses on your current concerns and the future you want. We can also explore approaches that involve more doing than talking. For some, this means processing emotions through art-making. For others, it means working through trauma with EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). Early on, we decide what we're working toward, how we plan to get there and what success might look like. For teens and preteens, I offer individual therapy and support groups that use writing, theater games and more to address difficult memories, emotions, identity questions and social situations.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect. I think that most people are capable of growth, and that personal achievement stems from community support. I identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive, a trauma survivor, a proud parent of someone on the autism spectrum, a disability advocate, and a person with an "invisible" disability. I am an active ally of people who are BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Autists or Aspies, survivors of abuse, and/or single parents.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
