My Background and Approach
I am a systematic and solution-oriented therapist that is experienced in working with individuals, families, and couples on various issues ranging from anxiety, depression, relationship and communication issues, and difficulties in cultural assimilation/acculturation. I often utilize a more light-hearted approach to therapy where humor is welcome and used as much as the situation allows it! Due to my history working with parents, I am also able to help you explore various parenting techniques that you can apply with your children as well as gain a deeper understanding the role communication plays between you and your immediate family members.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I want you to picture yourself as a balloon that is currently drifting in air. This balloon is constantly pushed, pulled, dragged, and affected by forces of gravity, wind, temperature, and other environmental factors. Just like this balloon, you are also affected by your environment, family, friends, coworkers, and everything else that you are exposed to on a daily basis. I believe that the secret to accomplishing one's goals, no matter what they might be, is mastering these surroundings /forces and ultimately surviving the challenges they present us with.
