I earned my Master of Social Work in 2016 at the University of Georgia. My career began as a therapist at Beyond Words Center, where I spent more than 3 1/2 years providing parent training and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy that addressed various concerns including anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, stress management, & emotional & behavioral regulation. In 2019, I joined Awaken Counseling, where I continue to provide individual, family, and couples therapy.
I work with clients to identify their unique qualities that can help them acknowledge, implement, and sustain coping abilities. As such, I use client-centered interventions that may also be influenced by evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Play Therapy. I also recognize there are team members whose involvement can be critical to children's success, and therefore encourage communication with parents and caregivers.
