My Background and Approach
I am a strong believer in treating the whole person - mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually (whatever your spiritual beliefs might be, not necessarily religion-based). I take a solutions-focused, strengths-based perspective to help you find what tools and skills work best for you and your lifestyle to get you healthier and happier. I use an eclectic approach, including CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, psychoeducation, and others. I work side-by-side with my patients, and believe that therapy is a joint effort in which your opinions and goals are crucial to the therapeutic process. I strive to create a space in which you feel heard, valued, respected, and not judged. My job is to help provide guidance, support, to teach appropriate skills, and to empower you to attain your goals in life.
