About My Clients

My clients are folks who want sex to be better and intimate relationships to feel more fulfilling. Sexual wellness counseling is for any one and everyone regardless of age, experience, or difficulty. Sex can be difficult, understanding oneself as a sexual person can be confusing, and relationships are complicated. Let's work together to give you the skills to help you thrive as a sexual being and engage in successful relationships.

My Background and Approach

As an AASECT Certified Sexuality Counselor and Doctor of Occupational Therapist, with over 9 years of experience, I know that intimate relationships take work and enjoying the sex you want can be difficult. I have extensive experience working with military (Active Duty/Vets & Spouses), individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+, kink/poly relationships, older adults, parents/post-partum, menopause, & erectile dysfunction. I have the background and knowledge to treat individuals and family members with combat-related distress and traumatic brain injuries (TBI), or experience/s of sexual assault. First, we'll do an in depth evaluation of the physical limitations that can make sex difficult and mental & cognitive hang ups that can making intimate relationship hard. Then, we'll explore your authentic relationship goals & sexual goals, and develop a customized step by step plan for achieving them. I hold a safe and gentle space for you to build your self-awareness & learn skills.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that pleasure is a birthright and that it is natural for humans to seek sensations of pleasure. I believe positive sexual engagements and intimate relationships help us thrive in life! In my experience, the root of a lot of sexual difficulties is cause by societal structures which deprioritize sexual health education. Many of us were set up for success, so I'm here to help. I believe a holistic approach to therapy, personal cultural humility, and acknowledging the influence of intersectionality are keys to being an effective therapist. I believe in the practice of personal self-reflection to recognize my own implicit and explicit biases which would interfere with the therapeutic relationship or cause more harm. This is an ongoing process which I approach humbly to actively support social justice and change from within.
