About My Clients
I specialize in providing affirming, supportive care to transgender and gender-diverse individuals and families who are seeking a safe space to explore their gender identity and cultivate self-compassion and self-love. In addition, I help clients process other aspects of their life, such as anxiety, depression, stress, or relationship issues. My goal is to help each client identify their unique strengths and to walk with them as they define what an authentic, fulfilling life means to them.
My Background and Approach
My love for gender work started in my undergraduate degree where I enrolled in many gender studies classes that challenged and deconstructed gender roles and the gender binary. Since then, I've continued my education in gender studies and have specialized in working with transgender and gender diverse clients since graduate school. In my current work as a member of the Waybridge Gender Actualization Team, I strive to create a relaxed, affirming, unbiased environment where clients can feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, needs and feelings, and exploring their authentic self more fully. I use a variety of techniques with an emphasis on building personal strengths to help clients identify goals and increase their self-esteem and agency.
