I am excited to get the opportunity to work alongside you to strengthen your mental health and achieve the goals that you have set for yourself while encouraging you to recognize the power you hold within yourself to make these changes. I have a drive to increase open communication and comfortability within the LGBTQ+ community by allowing you to be yourself in an accepting space with a counselor who can truly understand.
My Background and Approach
I approach counseling from a person-centered perspective as each individual's experience is unique to themselves. I believe that therapy is both a rewarding and challenging experience; therefore, it is my goal to provide a safe, nurturing environment to facilitate your personal growth. I utilize an integrative approach to therapy; therefore, I may use concepts from different models such as Cognitive-Behavioral, Gestalt, narrative, and expressive arts. I aim to provide an environment where you feel comfortable and supported on your journey of bettering yourself.
