About My Clients

My specialty niche is Autism, ADHD, depression or anxiety in children and adolescents, and neurodevelopmental differences comorbid with mood or anxiety concerns. I also have training and experience in assessment of dyslexia and learning disabilities. I have been grateful to receive training in school psychology and family therapy, which allows me to focus on the child's system in addition to individual concerns.

My Background and Approach

I strive to help clients identify strengths and needs, increase positive skills, improve relationships, and increase self-acceptance and self-compassion. I most often utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. My therapeutic style is strengths-based, collaborative, and compassionate. After 16 years of education and work experience in the fields of mental health and education, I founded PEACE Psychology Center for children, adolescents, caregivers, and families. I have been a licensed psychologist in Colorado and Texas and have worked in various settings including school districts, hospital, community mental health, private practice, and as an instructor at TCU. I obtained my B.S. from Texas A&M University, followed by a M.A. and Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin. I completed my predoctoral internship at Lewisville ISD and a postdoctoral fellowship at Children's Hospital Colorado.
