About My Clients

I work with individuals, children, couples and families. My approach to therapy is client-centered, strengths-based and trauma and culturally informed. I believe that all individual have a core self that serves as their innate capacity for resilience, growth, and connectedness. I partner with clients to increase insight around symptoms, build congruency, and harness their inherent ability develop solutions. The most important thing in life is how we relate to ourselves and others close to us.

My Background and Approach

I utilize attachment-focused and somatic approaches to support and collaborate with clients in recognizing their own resiliency. My primary methods in working with individuals includes EMDR and Internal Family Systems. I draw upon Gottman Method, Emotion Focused, and Solution-Focused Therapy in working with relational clients and intimate partners. The most important thing in life is how we relate to ourselves and others close to us. As someone who has always had interest in psychology and psychiatry, relational work is what ultimately drew me to become a mental health therapist. I come from a background with many adverse childhood experiences and would have greatly benefited from having a counselor or therapist that I could confide in as a young person. For that reason, my truth aligned with becoming the person I needed when I was little for others and for myself.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Spirituality is one important part of my identity that has shaped my belief that all beings should be free from suffering and the causes of suffering. My ability to sit with and guide another human through their suffering stands in my own experiences of suffering. Through our experiences and getting to know ourselves, we gain insight and newfound freedom. It is an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of your process in learning and living as your most authentic Self. Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my partner and our 2 dogs and 2 cats. Being a native Oregonian, I love being outside hiking, traveling, exploring good coffee shops, and spending time with my family. Prior to the pandemic, I enjoyed bouldering and rock climbing at a local gym and am excited to get back to it soon!
