About My Clients
Is your little one testing limits, rolling around on the floor in tears, yelling and screaming, and refusing to obey? You’ve come to the right place! Whether engaging directly in play therapy to build a secure attachment or using the extensively researched Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), you can join the ranks of parents that have learned how to enjoy and understand their children while setting limits and reducing stress and frustration in the family.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in working with kiddos and caregivers and am trained in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). CPP works through helping children and their caregivers heal after stressful or traumatic events by processing through play and reflection. PCIT assists children and parents to improve the caregiver-child relationship and help parents learn skills needed to manage difficult behaviors. After therapy, parents often report feeling more confident as caregivers and report having more positive connections with their child. Children learn how to improve cooperation, appropriately express their feelings, transition more easily, and enjoy connecting with others.
