You didn’t ask for the hand you were dealt, but here you are holding it. After experiencing trauma or something unexpected you may be struggling to find your footing again. So much has changed in so many ways. Or maybe you’re so accustomed to feeling the way you do that you can’t pinpoint what went wrong but you know you need something to change. Everyone needs to ask for help at some point.
My Background and Approach
The way I practice therapy is trauma-informed. This means I’m thinking about the impact your experiences may have on your behavior, mental health, and ability to engage in treatment before you even walk in the door and explain it to me. I get it. Your physical and emotional safety are prioritized above all else. You don’t have to let fear of the “what-ifs” and worst case scenarios control you. Helping my clients build confidence in their ability to embrace challenges in their life is my specialty. Together we can cultivate the peace and build the skills you need to take your control back. I can teach you how to utilize evidence-based skills to soothe symptoms and understand needs. I believe in your ability to give yourself what you need. You just need someone like me to hand you the tools. My office is a safe space for your pain, fear, vulnerability, celebrations, and success. I look forward to the privilege of walking with you on this path.

I believe in working together to facilitate the best counseling experience for you. You know what has and hasn't worked in the past. I'm here to take a look at the issue with a fresh set of eyes. We're equally important and essential to your success. I believe that "tolerance" is not to be boasted. I believe that celebration of diversity and what makes each of us unique should be the norm. So, here is my promise to you: I promise that you will be safe and celebrated in whatever form and identity you walk into my office with. Simply put, you will be embraced for being you. I offer a reduced rate for full-time students of $80 per session.
