About My Clients
Maybe you’re struggling with, identity shifts, heightened anxiety and/or depression, intrusive thoughts that make you feel afraid of yourself, knowing how to respond to your loved ones' needs while tending to your own, grief over the loss of a loved one, pregnancy, vision etc. Imagine yourself with increased confidence and a greater sense of self-worth, finding more ease in your experience, with an elevated understanding of your emotional experience, and feeling more empowered.
My Background and Approach
I'm a person centered therapist with an emphasis on cultivating an egalitarian relationship with my clients wherein the client is the expert of their experience and I am a guide leading them toward a greater sense of ease in life. Every breath I take as a human and therapist is imbued with a critical analysis of the societal systems that escalate the value of some individuals over that of others. Social justice is at the heart of my practice. I started my work in the world of emotional wellness as a birth doula, postpartum doula, and newborn care specialist. With this experience and knowledge, I specifically aligned my path with families and expanded my work into becoming a licensed mental health therapist with a speciality in the perinatal period. In addition, I have a calling to support those navigating complex feelings of grief and loss; whether by death or any other means. Life is a series of losses and when we can approach grief more fully we live more deeply.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe your worth as a human is not gauged by arbitrary societal images of success. You are as worthy as the day you were born and I hope to help you reclaim that truth and apply it as a balm to all of the parts of you broken by the broken systems we live within.
