About My Clients
We all do our best to overcome challenges in li, but there are times when we do feel paralyzed and need assistance. But challenging times can also be catalysts for personal growth and help us identify resilience we never knew we had. By reexamining your situation, values, and strengths, therapy can help you come out of this difficult time stronger, more sure of yourself, and even with a clearer direction in life.
My Background and Approach
I graduated in 2018 with a Master’s in Social Work, after studying biology for my undergraduate degree. Because of this, I tend to focus on the connection between mind and body, and how we can use this to our advantage. My post-graduate studies have focused on managing anxiety, healing from trauma, navigating life transitions, and issues that face the LGBTQ+ community. I have experience working in health care, community mental health, and substance use treatment. My practice draws from several theories, including cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and dialectical behavioral therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is worthy of respect regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, affectional orientation, age, or physical ability. Regardless of similarities or differences we have, I will do my best to ensure that your experiences and beliefs are valued and respected. I tend to have a casual and personable approach to therapy, and believe that you are the expert on your life. My goal is to use my knowledge with your expertise to collaboratively reach your goals.
