Before I became a Clinical Counselor I worked in a the corporate sector and quickly saw the consequences of a widespread lack of emotional and relational intelligence. Because of this need I returned to grad school to learn how person and client centered approaches could help individuals, couples and families lead happier and more successful lives. I spent the first few years of my clinical work at a renowned trauma practice in Chicago (Center for Contextual Change) where I was trained in systemic approaches toward the management of Trauma, PTSD, Personality Disorders, Anxiety and Depression. Because of this invaluable experience my work will always be trauma informed and sensitive.
Over the past two years I have devoted the majority of my training to relationship centered approaches such as PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy) in which I am a Level II Certified Clinician.
I am also trained in and utilize DBT, CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing in my work.
