I enjoy helping clients look at their lives through an existential lens, determining goals by investigating values and beliefs, and finding alignment through addressing challenges in an authentic way.

The client is the expert in their life, not the counselor. This belief helps eliminate the power differential of counselor as the expert. My job is to understand you. The better I get the calmer and more productive our space becomes. This journey allows the client to explore their experience and identify their desires for an aligned future in relationships, career, family and knowledge of self.

Our childhoods were spent absorbing lessons, good and bad, with no filter, skepticism, or ability to cognitively interpret them. As we grow up, we take these lessons with us and they can often conflict with the ways we actually want to live our lives. This approach investigates the experiences held as memories that the client views as important and long-lasting determinants for thoughts, emotions and behaviors.

The stories we have been told about ourselves can be so deeply rooted, we sometimes can't see the origin of the values and beliefs causing us harm in our present day life. Using narrative therapy, we collaborate on the veracity of your narratives and build new ones based on your evolved perspective of the world around you.
