About My Clients

I work with adults and provide individual therapy. My ideal populations based on my training and lived experience are the LGBTQ+ community, those gender assigned and socialized to adulthood as male, older adults, other mental health professionals, and professionals in the creative arts. My clients experience a range of challenges in their lives that I have provided support and a calm space to process things like low self-image and/or self-esteem, anxiety and depression.

My Background and Approach

If you struggle with your place in the world as a man, your sexual or gender identities, your ability to communicate effectively with your partners or processing your individual work as a mental health professional, I would be honored to be part of your therapy journey. The most important factor of success in therapeutic goals is the relationship the client and counselor build together. Fit is everything. I offer free video consultations so we can discuss your questions and concerns about our potential work together and learn more about our fit based on your goals and needs. My training so far has centered on work in the LGBTQ+ community, and as a men's issues counselor using feminist theory. I have lived experience in the hospitality industry as well as corporate America and the performing arts. If we have overlapping identities and/or experiences that are relevant to your work, please reach out so we can schedule time to get to know each other and determine fit for working together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that clients and counselors having some access to each others' personal values and beliefs is important. Positions on divisive topics that are related to why you seek therapy should be explored for fit as well as the counselor's ability to hear and understand you and offer the level of intervention and/or input that you need. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, believe that Black Lives Matter, standard behind reproductive rights and the right to bodily autonomy.
