About My Clients

It can feel impossible just to be a human some days. I partner with people to co-create a comforting, healing space to explore life's challenges. I use empathy, authenticity, and a non-judgmental stance to create a trusting therapeutic relationship. I'm particularly interested in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, relational concerns, self-esteem/self-worth challenges, trauma, substance use disorders, and neurodivergence.

My Background and Approach

I am trained as both a clinical social worker and as an alcohol and drug counselor. As a social worker, I recognize that your well-being is impacted by your individual experiences, your social environment, your family, and society. I work with preteens, teens, and adults to hold space for life's challenges. I tailor my approach to your needs and preferences, using a variety of frameworks including systems, postmodernism, and humanism. The therapy that I provide is trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and disability- and social-justice oriented. If you have any substance use concerns, I can assist you in using a harm reduction approach.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I recognize the ongoing importance of understanding my white cultural identity and the privileges it grants me. I am committed to examining and combating the markers of white supremacy culture that are present within my thinking. I believe that feeling connected is essential for all people. Humans are innately relational, and our interactions with people and our environment impact our wellbeing. It is important that people feel supported, loved, and valued on all levels. Many people are not supported or valued on a systemic level, especially people who are marginalized based on their race, class, disability, gender, and other social identity categories. We live in an oppressive society where equal attention needs to be given towards reducing both individual and collective suffering. I value empowerment over shame, guilt, or punitive measures. I am not here to judge you. You have inherent worth and dignity, and you deserve to be treated in accordance with your value.
