We offer targeted experience in treatment for depression, for adults as well as children/adolescents. Common types of counseling for depression are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Our therapists will aid in determining the most effective treatment for each person's own unique case, and many of our staff offer experience in specialty counseling services. Sunglow Counseling's mission is to provide a safe space for all - regardless of gender, sexuality, identity, race, or ethnicity. As a LGBTQ+ affirming practice, we understand that many people struggle to find non-judgmental or even therapists with a basic understanding of the LGBTQ+ experience, and what many of the community face day-to-day. Our therapists seek not to change your narrative, but to reinforce your sense of self, and to encourage exploration, positive mindset, and personal growth.

Many of our therapists have targeted training in Women's Issues, our founder Jessica Sweeney has experience in counseling for prenatal and postpartum depression, a common issue that is often downplayed or overlooked in the medical field. Women's Health is an important issue, with many women who sacrifice their mental health in the pursuit of caregiving for their families or lifestyle. Our staff offers a safe space for women to share their experiences and gain access to specialized counseling.
