About My Clients
Many people experience mental health struggles at some point in their life. Mental health battles may vary from anxieties, behavioral, life transitions, depression and stress, all of which can affect our mood, thoughts, and behaviors. We know change can be scary, but we are here to help guide you through those changes in life. While positive change is sometimes hard to identify, we strive to help clients identify positive change that is happening in their lives. PEACE is within YOU!
My Background and Approach
I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Kearney and my Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Concentration from the University of Nebraska-Omaha. I have clinical experience working with teens and adults with chronic mental illness and substance use disorders. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and uses evidence-based techniques to guide my practice. I have experience with group work and continue to co-facilitate the Solid Organ Transplant Support Group at The Nebraska Medical Center.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy utilizing my skills to make a difference in the lives of others. I've always wanted to help people and when I got to college, my eyes were opened to the field of social work/mental health. I knew that pursuing this career would be my way of being there for others. I look forward to helping clients reach their fullest potential, while continuing to educate and challenge myself along the way. My clients open their lives up to me, and I want to continue to learn so that I can be the very best that I can be for them. In my free time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends.
