About My Clients

I offer counseling that incorporates mindfulness, body-awareness, movement, and touch as ways to facilitate deeper self-awareness and develop a clearer sense of purpose, authenticity, and connection. I work with individuals and couples of all-bodies and all-orientations to help you find your way to living your fullest expression.

My Background and Approach

I use an experiential approach in counseling, where we follow the thoughts, feelings, emotions, and sensations that are occurring in the present moment as the window to explore deeper held beliefs. Together, we explore what is at the core of these beliefs and find new ways of understanding and holding the experiences you have had, to bring forward an updated perspective that leads from your most authentic, empowered self. Most of my work draws from my training in Drawing from my training in The Hakomi Method of Mindful and Somatic Psychotherapy as well as psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, person-centered psychotherapy, and depth psychology, I use mindfulness, body-awareness, touch, movement, and dream-work to facilitate my client's process. I have a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California as well as a two year specialization in The Hakomi Method of Mindful, Somatic Psychotherapy from M.E.T.A. Institute in Portland, Oregon.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we are all eccentric, idiosyncratic, and unique in our own special ways, and I love that about humans. It is my job to support you in being the most authentic version of yourself possible, refined through the experience of truly delving into who you are and choosing what ways of being are actually representative of the Authentic You. I think that is what people are looking for in relationships; the ability to be their authentic self and feel it accepted and understood by another. This is what I am routing for in my work with clients and my work in my own personal relationships in the world. I've been through the challenges of working through trauma, attachment wounds, shame, guilt, low self-esteem, negative self-image, and so on and so forth, and have found that beyond ALL of it, there is a very connected, loving, excited-about-life person who I truly am, and it is my purpose to help others find that in themselves as well.
