About My Clients
Your life is amazing in so many areas, yet you can’t seem to get your mind to step aside and let you live your life to the fullest. You worry, your mind races with directionless thoughts, you’re distracted, and you’re too often irritable. Those awkward moments replay in your head and endless fears play and replay in your head. Then this presents challenges for you and your relationships. Let me help you come up for air.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working with individuals with trauma, postpartum depression, anxiety, and OCD as well as persons with fertility challenges, miscarriages, or difficult pregnancies and births. I have also spent much of my career working with individuals with depression and those who are neurodivergent and need support with their ADHD or OCD. I believe that centering your inherent wisdom and moving at the speed of trust is essential to the therapeutic relationship. I am trained in a number of modalities including EMDR and offer direct, supportive, and solution-focused feedback, tools for growth, and emotional support. We'll discuss what is happening in your life now and give you the skills to reach your full potential. We'll also discover where some of your challenges may have come from so you can avoid repeating patterns and gain a healthy perspective on why your life has been this way until now.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about ensuring all people can reach their full potential. For me, this has looked like doing mental health crisis response during protests, volunteering to give out clean syringes and condoms at needle exchanges, training schools on what ACES look like in their classrooms, and working with communities on how to do suicide prevention without involving police. My actions are reflected in the therapy space and I can help you navigate challenging conversations on race, coming out to your parents (been there!), or ensuring your mental health becomes one of the better parts of your life instead of something that holds you back.
