About My Clients
My hope is that through therapy, you can come home to yourself, live more fully alive, and experience deep and transformational healing. Life can quickly become overwhelming, dysregulating, and agonizing in the aftermath of a traumatic event or after years of experiencing complex and compounding life stressors. I want you to know you’re not alone and I’m here to offer you a safe space to experience relief and healing.
My Background and Approach
As a Certified Trauma Professional, I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens and take a collaborative and client-centered approach to treatment. I am Certified in Brainspotting and Trained in EMDR. These are powerful modalities to help my clients heal from trauma and regulate their nervous systems. I desire to go beyond mere symptom management and will help you explore the roots of your concerns so you can heal on a deeper level. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirming and sex-positive therapist (welcome my kinky and Poly/ENM folks). You are welcome just as you are and there are no topics off limits in therapy with me. Bring your unfiltered self to our sessions, and I'll meet you right where you're at with empathy, warmth, and a splash of playfulness. I look forward to connecting with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I validate and support my clients on topics related to sexuality, gender identity, gender expression, and more. As a queer and bisexual identified person myself, I understand how important it is to find a therapist who welcomes and accepts you just as you are. I hope to create a safe space where you can live more fully, more authentically, and more freely yourself, and you can truly come home to the wonderful you. Therapy can help you unpack, navigate, and work through challenging situations you have gone through. Common topics that I help my LGBTQIA+ clients with in therapy include processing past trauma, exploring their gender identity, sharing their identity with safe friends and family, working through any internalized transphobia or homophobia, increasing self-esteem, increasing pride, working through grief and loss, and reducing anxiety and depression. You deserve to live wild, free, and perhaps, if the shoe fits- a bit untamed.
