About My Clients
I work best with teens and parents needing support through conflict, parents wanting to learn a better way for their family, young adults launching into independence, and adults needing coaching and support to become their vision of their best self.
My Background and Approach
When clients work with me, they are engaging in the practice of self-discovery, growth, and mastery. For all people and all situations, part of the challenge in therapy is to learn how to work within the system we are in and is contributing to our problems. This may mean understanding maladaptive thoughts & behaviors, it may mean learning to cope with challenging family relationships, it may mean overcoming or learning to work with an unchangeable personal situation, and it may mean facing some of the darkest demons that we can imagine. Through it all, I walk the journey with my clients. At times I may lead when they feel lost, other times I’ll follow when they feel inspired and driven, and more often than not, I walk right alongside as we discover together how they need to grow and what they need to face. As my clients engage in their personal brand of struggle, growth happens and shifts occur. In time, they direct their change to be what they want it to be.
