About My Clients

I understand the unnerving feelings of risk, and the courage that it takes to reach out in times of struggle, as I have been there in my life as well. I have personally experienced the struggle and gift that counseling provides and am looking forward to sharing that gift with you, to move you to a place in life where you want to be. Whether it is anxiety, depression, life changes, trauma, or men's issues, I have the desire and tools to help you become a better version of yourself.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed professional counselor in the states of Colorado and Oklahoma with over 5 years of experience working in mental health. I have a master of arts in professional counseling. My counseling style is empathetic, interactive, and person centered. I believe that one therapeutic approach will not work for every person, so my goal is to hear your story, learn about you, and find the best therapeutic approach that will provide the greatest impact on your life. I believe in treating everyone with unconditional positive regard and meeting my clients where they are in life to partner with them and move them in the direction they want to go. My approach combines solutions focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, humanistic, and existential counseling to tailor treatment plans and therapy sessions to meet your personal style and needs. I also incorporate art therapy and mindfulness practices when they are a good fit for my clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that each person is a unique individual regardless of your past or present situations, and that we are all connected together as part of a collective whole. In order to help instill change in the world that we want to see, we need to start with ourselves and work through our individual issues to then have that work extend out to our families, then our communities, and eventually the human race. I believe that through acknowledgement, acceptance, and allowance, of our own issues, we are given the opportunity to grow into the people we want to be. Acknowledgement is acknowledging our unique self and position in the world, both positive and negative. Acceptance is working to accept who we are currently, rather than looking at the void between reality and the person we want to be. Allowance is giving ourselves the grace to grow as a person, knowing that we will make mistakes along the way. It is through our mistakes and missteps that we can learn and grow the most.
