About My Clients
I work collaboratively with my clients to meet their specific needs and help them develop greater awareness of the concerns they may be dealing with. I strive to shift my therapeutic style based on what is best for clients as it is important for me to create a safe space where clients feel understood, accepted, and supported as we navigate the therapy process together. You can expect from me a sense of calm, listening with non-judgment, a positive outlook, and creativity infused into my work.
My Background and Approach
I strive to provide excellent care catered toward an individual's specific needs by leading with a compassionate, flexible, and goal-oriented approach. I have received specialized clinical training in the areas of: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT), emotionally-focused therapy (EFT), psychodynamic approaches, and trauma-informed frameworks. Through my work at Northwestern's Family Institute, Eating Recovery Center, and multiple private practice settings, my consistent aim has been to advocate for the well-being of my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Through my unique lived experience, I am especially invested in uplifting minority, multicultural, and stigmatized populations. In addition to clinical-focused work, I am active in various non-profit organizations in which I help to provide mental health services to underserved populations, enable access to resources in marginalized communities, and provide overarching mental health education/group support.
