About My Clients

I work with adults and teens individually, as well as with couples and partners across racial identities and gender and sexuality, including but not limited to LGBTQIA2-S folx, people in consensual nonmonogamous relationships, including polyamorous, BDSM/kink, sex workers, fat people, activists, and mental health professionals. My clients often are unpacking trauma, anxiety and depression, substance use, relationship challenges, gender and sexuality, and navigating life transitions.

My Background and Approach

My therapy style is: -Collaborative. You’re in the driver’s seat, and I’m your coach and sounding board. We co-create your therapy goals. -Inclusive. All the dimensions of your identity and humanity are warmly welcomed. -Interpersonal. Our fit is a big factor in successful treatment. I’m no blank slate — I’m interactive and friendly. -Practical. You'll learn tools and research-based insights to better understand yourself and or your partners. -Fun. Yes, really! Sure, it’s work, and I’ll challenge you, but there will be lots of moments of laughter and celebration. -Profound. Work on feeling better in your day-to-day and towards deeper changes in your life. My approach integrated and tailored to meet my client’s needs. An average session with me might look like you sharing about your week while I listen to, validate, and normalize your experience. I might get curious with some open-ended questions, explore the origins of thoughts and behaviors, and help you brainstorm ways to cope.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in human beings’ innate tendency towards growth and their fullest potential, and I understand how our past experiences and relationships ― particularly those from childhood ― guide current thought patterns, emotions, and actions. I am dedicated to the pursuit of a more just world by acting in solidarity with struggles against white supremacy, capitalism, heteropatriarchy, and ableism.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
